You Know, If They Made Healthy Food Less Expensive I’d Buy It Instead Of Junk Food.?

Healthy food is just SO expensive compared to junk food..I wonder why that is.

it is not when you think about the amount of meals you get for the price.. if say you spend $100 on healthy food it will make you meals for a week, if you spend $100 on junk food it will not make as many meals..
plus why put a price on your health? i am a uni student that lives under the poverty line but makes an effort to buy healthy food rather than junk, instead of buying fastfood i do my groceries weekly and make at home meals in the long term you save money…

Because food that is bad for you uses cheap easy to get fatty ingredients. Most companies are also after making food that tastes better rather then is better for you, that is why the companies that do put in the effort charge more because of research and making sure vitamins are added while making it still taste good.

Its a matter of supply and demand. If more people ate healthy foods (those that are more expensive) then more of it could be sold at more competitive prices. If people didn’t eat Burger Biggie fries, they wouldn’t try to sell them.

Yh, and there’s like so many advertisements of junk food everywhere like on T.V e.t.c compared to food that’s better for you =]

No, excuse. If you love yourself which is the most important thing to do, you will buy healthy food. Your mind will think better. You will feel better so you will have better relationships. Everything will be better so you will end up making more money. Or you can stay in the poor me, I’m a victim rut.

Healthy food can be inexpensive, but it is rarely inexpensive and convenient. It takes work to boil raw vegetables. Plus, no one wants to just eat beans, so you have to cook several different items instead of just microwaving 1 hotpocket.

i totally agree with u.i have 4 kids and find it expensive. the television and docs tell u to eat healthy, sure how can we its too expensive.

Apples are cheaper than chocolate bars.
A sandwich is cheaper than a hamburger.

Yeah I know. In the Philippines, all are expensive. Even rice is expensive. My gosh!!
