Writing online book reviews?

Hi,I did the following:

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a peer website that is similar to a book club in that it’s all about sharing opinions on books. I want to be able to review the literature I read, but I obviously can’t do it professionally and I know there has to be a site out there just for people like me. If you have any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it!

While it may not be the most convenient format, amazon.com probably has the best peer and professional reviews of most books.

As someone else suggested, www.amazon.com is a good place for posting book reviews. I would also suggest www.barnesandnoble.com. They don’t have as active a site as far as reviews are concerned but it’s a good site.

The next question I’d ask is what genre are you reading? there are some very good listservs devoted to particular types of books in which people post reviews; DorothyL is one for mysteries. People discuss books as well. Child_lit is another one; it’s for children’s and teen literature. It depends on where your interests lie.
