Will I Lose 20 Pounds If I Only Eat Healthy Food And Drink Water?

I’m 16 and I weigh 150 and I’m trying to lose 20 pounds in a month in a half. I thought this could work because I eat greasy fatty foods All day and I drink only soda. Could this work?

    you might loose some, but without exercise, you wont loose much, and it will all come back the second you start eating what you normally eat again

    It’s possible.
    There is so much false information going around about weight loss. Some is decent advice but most of it is horrible.
    The most important thing for fat loss, is that your diet is as natural and unprocessed as possible. It almost always comes back to the over processing of food that makes it bad for you, and makes it totally destroy your metabolism and hormone balance in your body. For example, why eat refined grains, when you can eat whole grains. Why eat refined sugar, when you can get natural sources of sugar from a high nutrient whole food like fruit. Why eat highly processed, refined, and hydrogenated vegetable oils (these are THE worst thing in the modern diet), when you can eat natural sources of healthy fats like nuts, avocados, fish, eggs, coconut milk, organically raised meat, and so forth. The point is to not fall for some gimmick like low carbs, low fat, high protein, or any other combination that has you focusing on one macronutrient vs. another. Your body needs all macronutrients to thrive and obtain a variety of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, etc. Trying to cut an entire food group out just works against what your body needs.
    Just be persistent, set goals, make little changes and stick with them. Don’t count calories, it will drive you crazy. Just stop eating when your satisfied. You will get to where you want to be.     Losing 20 pounds in a month and a half is a long shot. Losing 6-12 pounds during that time period is more reasonable. Also, yes, cutting out soda and junk food is a good idea. It is important though that you keep track of the calories you eat. A teenage girl should eat around 1,800-2,000 calories daily to lose weight.

    dont lose weight that fast, it isnt healthy and could come right back quickly. but i suppose it isnt impossible. yes , eat no more than 1500 cals a day and DONT DRINK CALORIES, no juice, no pop. only milk (yes it has some cals but you need calcium) and water, flavored water is ok, or ice tea with splenda, sugar free koolaid is good too. and try to exercise for 30 min a day

    It will help you with a menu plan of healthy food and track your progress.
    It will also tell you how much you are over weight for your height and age.
    The menu plan can be set to maintain your current weight or to lose weight.

    well, my dad lost about 5 lbs. JUST by not eating bread and rice for a week, and just eating healthy like salads and stuff like that, and a week goes by pretty quick. hope that helps. I dont know how old you r but, red wine ,akes you shed a few pounds

    no this will not work you have to know that you also have to work out in order to lose some weight. Also you have you eat healthy like 3 meals a day and drink a lot of water
