Q&A: Why would you be happy or sad in this situation?

I’ve been shopping for a small house and when I thought I found a good one, I spent a week’s salary in inspections only to find out two exterior walls are made of compacted cardboard, rafters are in need or repairs, there are electrical and plumbing issues in need of repairs etc. It hurts to blow a week’s salary when I don’t ever spend that kind of money on myself. I am really sad because I really wanted to buy that house.

Would you be happy or sad in my situation and why? Elaborate

I’d be happy because I just wasted money.

Sad and annoyed that the seller had not made you aware of the defects.

In the UK sellers now have to supply a property survey, from an approved surveyor, including energy efficiency to each prospective buyer.

I’d be sad/disappointed.

But not for long, I’m the move on with my life and get it over type of person.

Don’t sulk over one bad thing that has happened, for all you could know another better house for around the same price could pop up and it is actually a good place

I’d be bummed at first, then happy that that’s all it cost me. If you would have bought the house without knowing all those defects you would have been screwed. So, it actually saved you a lot of money!
