Q&A: Who else is slightly disappointed with this year’s Black Friday “sales”?

I found myself quite disappointed after getting up at 4:00 AM to hunt down some crazy sales… And then finding not too many enticing ones after all :(

Did anyone else experience this? And if not, did you get any great deals you’re proud of?!

Happy shopping to those who have yet to go :)

depends on where u live and what your looking for i guess.there was some nice deals here. what you gotta do is get the thanksgiving paper with all the ads in it and comb through them and pick the stores you want to go to..help you make a game plan. alot of the sales were on big eletronics though like tvs and computers so if you didn’t need one of those then yea they were a little light. retail had a low expectation this year due to the economy so they weren’t sure on how to handle it.
i had fun and i got a few things on fantastic deals!

Stood in line outside BestBuy, and before we even got in the door they were announcing that most of door buster specials were gone. Went to Circuit City and the line for the checkout wrapped completely around the inside of the store. Waited in the checkout line at Office Depot for over an hour to buy a camera, they only had 3 checkouts open, and the cashiers had to go to the stockroom to get your item. Target was wonderful…every checkout was open, only one person in line ahead of us, we found 8 movies and 2 games that we wanted. Next year I’m sleeping in.

I went one year to just get a good 5 dollar coffee pot for a family member that wanted a coffee maker for christmas. Now I sleep in and I don’t care about Black Friday. I can’t stand the crowds and the long lines.
