most people need about 8 hours. so go to bed 8 hours before you need to get up. try not to stay up too late cuz you will just wake up and realize youve wasted the whole day. or go to bed when you are feeling tired. try to train yourself to get on a regular schedule.

It depends on the person. Some people are naturally night owls so they do best going to bed late and waking up late. Others are morning people so they do best going to bed early and waking up early. I’m a night owl (obviously, being it’s 3:15 am as I write this) but I’ll get at least 8 hours of sleep since I don’t need to be anywhere in the morning. So as long as you get adequate sleep every night, it doesn’t matter what time you go to sleep. (and that’s what happens when you stay up too late…you ramble. lol maybe staying up late isn’t such a good thing! ha!)

I work over night, so everyone elses noon is my mid night, as long as I get 6-8 hours of sleep and get some sun to keep the seasonal effective disorder away, I’m fine

The time will depend on other parts of your lifestyle. You should be sure to get enough sleep (most need 7-8 hours and teens need more) and also not have to rush in the morning. You want to take time to exercise and if you do it in the morning, you need to plan that time in. If you do it in the evening, you need to have some cooldown time before bed. I’d say if you start work at 8 am and exercise between 6 and 7, you should go to bed around 9 or 10 and get up about 5. If you exercise in the evening, I’d say go to bed at 11 or 12 and get up at 7. Whatever time you choose it is important that you be consistent. Trying to catch up on the weekend or staying up all night on Fridays is harmful for your sleep patterns.

Going to bed early is for pansies. Stay up late and sleep all day…especially if you don’t work.
