I’m looking for a place where I can recommend books to others, as well as, get some recommendations myself. I like to read books by Jodi Picoult & Nicholas Sparks. Anyone familiar with any interesting websites or blogs?

I use http://www.goodreads.com – it’s great because a LOT of my friends use it… it’s basically facebook for books! 
I get recommendations from friends, and all that! Also, if you go to http://www.amazon.com and search for your favorite books, it will recommend books that other people with your tastes have purchased, so that might help you out too!
