Q&A: What is a healthy source to get good cholesterol?

I’m a vegetarian and am looking for a healthy way to give my body the cholesterol levels it needs. I was looking at Virgin Coconut oil but I’m not sure if that’s the best choice. Do any of you know a great choice to get good cholesterol?

Egg yolks definitely. The perfect way for what you’re looking for. They are high in dietary cholesterol contrary to what many say. They are also filled with good unsaturated fats. Definitely go with that and if you are unsure about my answer research it and you’ll see for yourself.

I have never heard of not geting enough cholestreol. Whoever you heard that from probably told you to get enough protein too. Protein deficeincys are unheard of except in starving countrys and cholestreol is probably the same way. Why would America, the worlds fatest country on the face of the planet, worry about something that only hapens in starving countrys? The media?

Hi Rhodeder,

The body will produce the cholesterol you need if you do not consume it in your diet. I would not be overly concerned about consuming healthy dietary cholesterol sources. I’d focus more on heart healthy fats, such as your nuts, seeds, olive oils, etc.

All the best,
