What are some healthy things that you did to prepare for pregnancy? I have been taking folic acid for a few weeks and I don’t even plan on trying until fall of next year. I was just curious what everyone did to start preparing.

I’ve been taking prenatal vitamins since August and this is my first month off birth control. I quit drinking alcohol, even though I only have a glass of wine here and there. I lost a little bit of weight because I was in the higher healthy range for my height. I’ve been eating more protein and fiber and drinking more water. I’ve been trying to go to bed earlier and at a regular time in order to get more sleep. I’ve been charting my temperatures and symptoms and using OPKs to know when I ovulate. That’s about it

I have been exercising, but not overworking, as that can throw off hormones and cause you not to ovulate. Eating healthier, taking vitamins (with folic acid, just in case!!) and trying not to stress so much about daily life.

quit smoking, started getting more sleep, and started taking a prenatal vitamin
