Oatmeal works like a charm. Everytime I eat it for breakfast I have to remind myself to eat lunch.

Oatmeal is good, so are raisins. However, if you are feeling hungry, it may not be just getting something that fills your stomach up, it may be that you need something specific.
Next time you are tempted to fill up on junk food, note just what you are hungry for - crunchy, chewy, sweet, salty, protein, carbs, etc.
Then find a way to get a healthy snack that has similar properties. Crunchy and sweet? There are several cereals that would fit. Crunchy salty carbs? Popcorn is much better for you than potato chips. Etc...

Soup for one, it always fills me up,and low caloric, anything with bulk fiber in it like oatmeal, add a couple slices of whole wheat bread or toast with soup or oatmeal. What you want to do is eat more fiber and whole wheat they are filling, good for you, plus keep you regular. My list isn't very long but I am still learning good foods from bad myself.

One suggestion from the book, "You, The Owner's Manual" is to eat a fiber supplement before a meal. Fiber supplements come in powders, pills and cookies. As stated above, they add bulk and help you feel full earlier without adding as many calories. They are not as "gross" tasting as you might imagine, and they work.
