Dice up half an onion, a tomato and add some fresh (not dehydrated) cilantro. Place it in a blender with either a teaspoon of olive oil or a half a teaspoon of vinegar and blend away dill desired chunkiness or lack of chunkage.

simple recipe for salsa
Q&A–: Does anyone have a simple recipe for salsa?
I have a bunch of tomatoes from my garden and would like to make salsa. I also have hot red peppers. So it can be a recipe for hot or mild salsa. I’ve never made it before, so I will need measurements of each ingredient, with good directions.
Thank you for your time and help.

I was looking at this recipe and it seems easy enough for me and very YUMMY! It was just given the name Fresh Salsa!
INGREDIENTS:
4 jalapeno chile peppers
5 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers
1 (28 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes
——————————————————————————–
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Place jalapeno chile peppers on a medium baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven 15 minutes, or until roasted. Remove from heat and chop off stems.
Place jalapeno chile peppers, garlic, onion, white sugar, salt, ground cumin and diced tomatoes with green chile peppers in a blender or food processor. Chop using the pulse setting for a few seconds. Mix in whole peeled tomatoes. Chop using the pulse setting to attain desired consistency. Transfer to a medium bowl. Cover and chill in the refrigerator until serving.

Depends on how much you want to make…I use about 4 – 5 medium size tomatos, 1 medium onion, a couple of peppers ( whatever heat level you prefer) 1 small bundle of cilantro & lime juice. Chop veggies about the same size or else throw in the food processor. Stir all together, season with salt & pepper & place in fridge….Will keep for about a week, so make plenty – you’ll eat it up before you know it!!

what kind of tomatoes do you have? i use a dozen Roma tomatoes. 1 green bell pepper, 1 yellow/orange bell pepper, 1 vidalia onion, 3-5 cloves of garlic, 1tsp. lemon or lime juice, 2tsp.sugar, 1tsp. salt
a touch of cilantro. and enough hot peppers for the desired heat. i personally use 6-8 jalapenos. chop up all ingredients, mix together and enjoy.for best results i let it sit in refrigerator for a day or 2 to let the flavors blend together. it will get watery so you’ll have to drain the excess off once in awhile. ENJOY!!!!

chop an onion
chop some 3- 4 tomatoes
chop some peppers (mild) 4 to 5 whole peppers or I can of chopped peppers
chop 2 small bunches of cilantro
mix it together in a bowl. No water no salt no nothing.

Salsa
Here’s what you will need to make it:
* two 14-ounce diced, spicy tomatoes
* 2 ounces diced green chilies
* 2 cloves of garlic, diced
* 3/4 cup chopped cilantro — it’s an herb that looks like parsley
* 1 medium onion, chopped
* pinch of salt
* tortilla chips
* bowl
* sharp knife
Here’s what you have to do:
1. Put all of the ingredients in a bowl and stir around, adding the green chilies to taste. (This is what makes it spicy!)
2. Now take a chip and dig in!
I don’t know what to do with the red peppers, so sorry. Have a great day!!!

Here’s a simple and tasty salsa I make for all my parties.
4 large tomatoes, small dice
1 medium onion, finely minced
1/2 bunch cilantro, coarsely chopped
1 jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix until combined. Serve with tortilla chips.

Put on 2 pots of water to boil. Put 2 tomatoes in one and peppers in the other. Boil tomatoes a minute or two till skin splits, peel. Boil peppers until soft, about ten minutes.(you can also roast peppers till skin turns black and peel), The amount of peppers depends on how hot you want the salsa, and the variety of the pepper. This is also good with a couple of boiled tomatillos. Put in blender with a clove of garlic and salt, pepper, maybe a teaspoon lime juice and a pinch of cumin. Fresh cilantro is also good to add, about 1/4 cup for this recipe. You can change any or all of this. Salsa is whatever tastes good to you. You can add onion if you want, you can just blend everything up fresh and boil for a few minutes, You can make it chunky or not. There really are no hard fast rules for salsa. You could even sautee or grill all the ingredients first. A friend of mine likes to add vinegar=just a splash to her salsas.

Wonderful simple recipe for salsa:

I know, I know. Corn on corn. Overkill eh? Well, I was having a little fun today. This is my version of Chipotle’s corn salsa, minus the poblano. Pretty simple. Here’s the recipe:
Simple Corn Salsa
Ingredients:
~one bag frozen corn kernels
~one red onion
~one green pepper
~cilantro
~two lemons or limes or one of each
Preparation:
1) Thaw corn and drain water from bag
(depending on how much you are making you can decide to put some aside for later use)
2) Chop half of the green pepper and about 1/3 of the onion fine.
3) Take cilantro leaves and chop until fine.
4) Combine corn and all other ingredients into a large bowl.
5) Squeeze and strain juice from lemons or limes. You can use the meat for something else or you can simply eat it from the fruit before disposing of the skins. Also, if you can, compost what remains.
6) Pour the lemon or lime juice into the large bowl and stir until all contents is bathed in the juice. Allow to sit for a bit. You may salt if you wish though it tastes good fresh too.
7) Enjoy* with blue corn chips or on it’s own! Goes well with water and a slice of lemon.
* Remember to always keep portion sizes small.

First of all remember this rule 2 tomatoes per chili. Now salsa can be made fresh or cooked I myself prefer fresh. It’s easy and no cooking involved. You will need tomatoes, onion, chili’s, cilantro, and lemon juice. dice up all the ingredients. Add these to a bowl pour the lemon juice over it all add salt to taste and there you have it fresh salsa.
