heres a simple recipe that works for any canned pie filling:

in 9×13 baking dish dump pie filling,
top with 1 box dry cake mix ( white or spiced works best.)
melt 2 sticks of butter and pour on top bake for 25-30 minutes.
you can add pecans or almonds ontop of cake mis to give a lil nutty kick

Apple Crisp

Filling
6 cups peeled, thinly sliced apples, peaches or pears (6-8 medium)
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 T. all-purpose flour
1/2 t. ground cinnamon

Topping
1 cup Quaker Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
1/2 cup coarsely chopped nuts (optional)
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
4 T. (1/2 stick) margarine or butter, melted
1/4 t. ground cinnamon
Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (optional)

Heat oven to 350 F. Spray 8” square glass baking dish with cooking spray. For filling, combine fruit and water in large bowl. Add sugar, flour and cinnamon; stir until fruit is evenly coated. Spoon into baking dish. For topping, combine all ingredients in medium bowl; mix well. Sprinkle evenly over fruit. Bake 30-35 mins. or until fruit is tender. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired. Serves 9.

Make it easy. Take some tart crisp apples and slice them as you like. Put them in a small dish. Sprinkle on some lemon juice and brown sugar.

Mix equal parts of brown sugar and butter, add a pinch of salt and use a fork to mash it together. Smear it on top of the apples and bake at 350° until the top is brown and bubbly.

How easy is that? My motto: simple and delicious!

Serves 4 generously, or 8 1”x4” pieces.

Ingredients
2 cups blueberries, strawberries, pears, apples, or any other fruit
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup white sugar
1 cup self-rising flour / 1 cup all purpose flour and 1 tsp each of baking soda and baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg/cinnamon
1/2 cup boiling water

DIRECTIONS
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2) Place the fruit into an 8×8 inch square baking dish. Halve strawberries, cut pear or apples into bite size pieces, deseed cherries, etc. (1)
3) In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and 1/4 cup sugar until smooth (2).
4) Stir the flour into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk (3-4).
5) Spoon batter over fruit (5).
6) Mix together the 1/4 cup brown sugar with the cornstarch and nutmeg/cinnamon (make sure there are no clumps) (6). Sprinkle over the top (7).
7) Pour boiling water over the whole thing making sure the sugar and spice mixture is still evenly sprinkled on top (8). 8) Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven. Cool for at least 10 minutes to set. Serve with whipped topping or vanilla ice cream.
