Hummas is a good dip base, basically it’s creamed chick peas. Also you can take plain yogurt, strain it with cheesecloth and add your seasonings.

For a sandwich spread, try fat free cream cheese.

Guacamole Dip Recipe
Guacamole is a classic appetizer dip recipe, made special with a few secret ingredients. Be sure to read through my Step by Step instructions before you begin.
INGREDIENTS:
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 ripe avocados
1/3 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chopped grape tomatoes
PREPARATION:
Squeeze the fresh lemon juice and combine in a medium bowl with the salt and cayenne pepper.
Then cut avocados in half and remove pit. Cut halves in half again and gently peel off the skin, or remove the pit by striking it with a knife, then use a large spoon to scoop the flesh from the skin.
Add avocados to the lemon mixture; mash with potato masher or fork, leaving some of the fruit unmashed.
Stir in sour cream until blended, then fold in chopped tomatoes. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing the plastic wrap onto the surface of the guacamole, and chill for a couple of hours

I use low-fat or fat- free salad dressing on my sandwiches (ranch, bleu cheese).

Mix a 16 oz carton of fat-free sour cream with an envelope of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix & chill at least 8 hrs –makes a great dip!!

Hey hey!! Here’s my favorite recipe it really healthy because yogurt is very good for you, I hate mayo so this works perfectly for me and it adds a lot of flavor, here’s my recipe

Tzatziki
(creamy cucumber dill and garlic dip)
4 cloves of garlic minced
1 bunch of dill chopped
1 container of Greek yogurt (thicker and creamier than regular, although you can use regular just try to find the thickest you can)
1 large cucumber de-seeded, peeled and chopped really thin
1/2 a lemon
salt and pepper to taste
combine all ingredients and then squeeze lemon on top and mix thoroughly then allow to chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes and Viola a easy and quick spread for crackers to eat with pita or even with chips!! ( it’s good on sandwiches and burgers too, pretty much everything tastes better with this stuff on it!) Good Luck and Happy Feasting!!
