Q&A: How do I stop a craving for healthy food?

I tend to binge-eat on healthy foods like watermelon and other fruits, and even salad with fat free dressing. How do I stop this craving? The calories do end up adding up. I’ve already had a ton of water, I don’t know why the cravings never quit.

your body could have some kind of deficiency for a vitamin or something that is in those foods and that is why you are craving it so much it’s just your bodies own way of telling you what it needs the trick is finding out what exactly that is though

Train yourself to only eat when you’re hungry.

If you’re really hungry, then eat something solid, like bread.

How can I stop from being rich? I have a Ferrari and 8 BMW’s and a huge home worth over a billion dollars. I just keep buying expensive stuff like 300k for a dog leach made from 100% gold.

Geez

Do something better with your life.

Be thankful that your cravings are for healthy foods and not junk foods. It’s just portion control that most Americans lack. What I do when I crave something that is not healthy for me is that I think about how I would feel after I gave into my craving and use that to motivate me to stay away. Trust me I gave up processed sugar and other fatty products like cookies, candy, ice cream. You get a couple of really bad moments but keep thinking about your end goal and what you feel like if you cheated on that. And now I do not even crave those things anymore.

You obviously need to eat some solid foods. You must pee a lot with all that liquid going into your body.??. Try eating some high protein and carbohydrate foods. That should help to curb the hunger.

not to sound humorous but I agree with another answerer, have a donut. I think the problem is that the healthy food is not satisfying your craving. Treat yourself every once in awhile and you probably won’t crave as often. Good Luck

There is nothing wrong with eating a lot of healthy foods. Of course too much of any one thing isn’t as healthy as eating a variety of foods. But go for it on the fruits and vegetables! It will not do anything but good for your body! Even on weight watchers you can eat as many veggies you like, they’re zero points!

Actually, I don’t agree that you are eating healthy. Salads topped with fat free dressing is not such a good choice as the dressing is just empty calories that don’t leave you full. Just because it’s “fat free” doesn’t mean calorie free.

I agree with what a few others have said; the reason your hungry is because you’re not eating any protein. Begin by incorporating some lean meats like baked fish or chicken breast with some broccoli. Additionally, although fruits contain vitamins that watermelon is high glycemic and just contributing to unnecessary sugar intake.
