The Book Thief, just kidding, that takes place in Germany during the time of Hitler with air raids and all kinds of stuff like that. Great book, but depressing. I would read a lot of C.S. Lewis stuff and you can get the imponderable book which include: ‘Do Penguins Have knees?’ ‘Why Do Clocks Run Clockwise’, and much more. Hope you get a good book!
