Sherman Alexie The Partially True Story of the True Diary of a Part-Time Indian Mondavi Center Presenting Program
Author, poet and screenwriter Sherman Alexie was named one of The New Yorker's 20 top writers for the 21st century. The New York Times Book Review described him as "one of the major lyric voices of our time." His first novel, Reservation Blues, won Booklist's Editor's Choice Award for Fiction and The Toughest Indian in the World won the 2001 PEN /Malamud Award, honoring excellence in the art of storytelling. Alexie wrote and produced the film Smoke Signals based on his book, The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven, which won the Audience Award and Filmmakers Trophy at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival. The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian is the 2011-12 Campus Community Book Project book.

These local vendors display items such as bee’s-wax & soy candles, pet items and treats, natural soap in various scents, hand-crafted jewelry and bead work, leather-wear and accessories, prickly pear and Sonoran cactus jams and jellies, fresh goat cheeses, a selection of hand-made crafts by local artisans, personal products, lotion bars and natural moisturizers, skin-healing aloe creams, various home-care products, mint oils and teas alongside natural foods and pasta.
