My Boyfriend Of 4 Years Won’t Eat Healthy Food. What Is This Doing To His Body?
He’s 18 years old and a construction worker. He’s always refused to eat fruits and vegetables since I’ve known him. I bought him some men’s multi-vitamins from GNC, but he isn’t very interested in taking them. He eats fast food atleast once a day, sometimes as many as three times a day. His reasoning is that he is not overweight, therefore it can’t be too bad for him. I’ve tried to talk him into eating some kind of fruit or vegetable, but he thinks they all taste bad or have no taste at all. His family has never been adamant about eating right. I’m worried that in the future he may suffer from cardiovascular disease or diabetes or one of the various kinds of cancer that result from not eating right. I’ve told him this and he basically dismisses my worries. What is this doing to his body and what should I do/say to him?
A: your boyfriend is literally killing himself slowly… he should not be eating that amount of processed foods, unfortunately, people cannot be convinced of anything they are not interested in…
perhaps try cooking for him / with him and introducing him to great tasting healthier foods… you guys will have alot of fun too!!
also, maybe you should have him go over his diet with his doctor.. maybe hearing it from your own doctor will open eyes a little bit… let him know that a fast metabolism does not last forever, and it WILL catch up to him eventually… if he doesnt have a heart attack first!
A: Well, I’m 27, and your boyfriends eating habits pretty much sound like me, however I work in an office all day. I wouldn’t worry too much about him, being a construction worker, he likely burns off most of the calories that he intakes while working.
As long as he gets the bill of health from the doctor every few years, then honestly there isn’t really an issue with what or how he eats
A: Here’s the thing, foods that are processed, and all made of some artificial flavors need to be taken under moderation. I mean he can eat the fast food, but he has to have some sort restrictions on how much and how many. Some people might tell you, “Oh it’s okay I’ll just burn it off”. That’s true, but you can’t burn off the Sat Fat, Trans Fat, Carbs or sugar. Not mention the countless other ingredients not printed on the back of the label. He’s raising his chance to get Diabetes, High Blood pressure, certain types of cancers etc. Trust me I use to weight 254 and now I’m down to 215, 90 percent muscle, with a killer six pack. He needs to slow down

A: I am in the same boat as you girl, it’s so frustrating, he is the pickiest eater! And the only thing he “likes” when we go out is deef fried chicken strips and french fries, and he drinks a lot of pop. But he wont even try anything, and the only veggie he likes is corn on the cob!!! I just wish he would eat a little healthier, good luck on a true answer, I’ll be watching this question, lol
A: well to be honest…it will kill him. literally. he’s clgging up his atreries and he’ll most likely die of a heart attack. sorry, but he needs to quit eating that stuff, like, 2 years ago
