Is There Such A Thing As A Healthy Food?

I’ve just been told Chicken Noodle Soup is not a good breakfast choice. SOUP is not healthy! Too much sodium! I’m so sick of hearing about how certain foods are junk and then even when something is supposed to be healthy, like orange juice for example, they turn around and say that’s bad too! Too much sugar! Unless you enjoy eating leaves and drinking from the sink for the rest of your life, I say you only live once, if there are foods that you enjoy, enjoy them. I’m fed up with this healthy food talk. That concludes my rant.

Q&A   Q&A  Q&A   Q&A Q&A   Q&A Q&A   Q&A

A:            It depends though…freshly squeezed orange juice is perfectly healthy, but store-bought juices can have lots of calories from the added sugar. It’s pretty much the same deal with soups, depending on whether or not they are store-bought; store-bought could have added fats and such. There ARE healthy soups. Like miso soup.
Also, there are plenty of healthy breakfast choices out there; fruits, whole-wheat toast, omelettes, oatmeal etc.

A:             I agree, I myself am on a diet and I choose to not have “unhealthy” food and only eat healthy but occasionally I do give into temptation and allow myself to pig out once in a while. There is such thing as a healthy food but when talking about food it really depends on a healthy diet. Orange juice I can understand why they say too much isn’t good for you because most orange juice products only contain 5% of actual juice and the rest is sugar. But yeah there’s a lot of emphasis on eating healthy and exercising to live a long life but if you should be able to have a pig out day once in a while.

A:            dude, i know.
fruits are supposed to be “healthy” but then i hear they are LOADED with sugar
milk is supposed to be good too but then it has sooo many calories apparently
so i have come to the conclusion that you can eat all the celery you want because its apparently negative calories! oh but wait, thats NOT HEALTHY EITHER
damn.

A:                  Your body needs sodium and sugar too! The thing is that people could eat the food they love in moderation mixed with healthier choices like fruits, veggies and low fat meals, and still stay healthy, but not many people make the effort because they don’t want to go to the trouble.

A:            Yes. There is such a thing as healthy food. That would pretty much be fruits and vegetables. Plants like cashews and nuts are great sources of protein. Meat is a good source of protein and all but animals tend to be less and less healthy as mass production from meat farms increases.

A:            As long as you don’t eat an “unhealthy” food for breakfast, lunch and dinner then all is well. But I totally get you.

A:               There is a low sodium alternative usually.
Yes, eat what you want. I dont think there are many foods that dont have at least one thing that isn’t good for you…in excess. Orange juice, for instance, has a bit of sugar in it. But who cares? It’s better than a soda…and think of all the good stuff that is in it.

A:               Soup is fine, maybe not a good choice for breakfast, but fine. Everything has a quality which can be considered “unhealthy”, but for the most part, try to eat naturally occurring things. As long as you stay away from the processed junk you’ll b fine
