Q&A: Is eating two healthy meals a day enough to keep me in relatively good health?

I want to be healthy but it’s hard for me because I don’t want to miss out on my favorite junk foods… so I was thinking maybe I could just have a healthy breakfast and lunch and then I can still enjoy the foods I love for dinner… is this enough to keep me in relatively good health? I don’t need to be perfect health or anything, I love food so it’s worth it to me to get a little sick every now.

You will still gain fat mass. If you are serious about staying healthy, start eating five smaller meals a day, and start substituting the junk foods for healthier snacks. You’ll learn to enjoy healthy snacks.

you should have 3 meals a day. I think if your breakfast and lunch are relatively filling then yeah go on ahead and eat junk food at dinner. Also exercises can do wonders also.

Why don’t you just eat your favorite foods in moderation? Like a little bit of whatever you like at a meal instead of eating 2 healthy meals and one meal of whatever you want. The healthy meals won’t undo your bad meals, but they’ll at least provide you with your necessary nutrients and things.

Sounds to me like you’re trying to watch your weight. Just two meals a day sounds relatively, I mean, some people go overboard with weight watching and have breath mints as a full course dinners, yet others won’t stop until they can no longer get up off their couch to get more food. So, yeah, that’s relatively healthy.

I would say no (unless they’re HUGE meals, but even then it’s unhealthy to eat like that). You should try to eat 5 small meals a day (in this case, an apple could be considered a meal)
