Question: Is 13 too old to be shopping at Limited Too/Justice?
My daughter says her friends think it’s too childish. At her middle school, most of the girls are wearing Aeropostale, Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister, AE, etc. I just want her to be happy and comfortable, of course, in the clothes that she wears. Parents, as well as teens, what do you think?

Yes, it is, actually. I know they can get a bit pricey, but that’s how it goes :/

Well, I don’t have a Justice store around me, so I don’t know what kinda clothes it sells. But Limited Too, probably. I stopped wearing Ltd. Too when I was about nine. My friends are into Aeropostale, American Eagle, Hollister, etc. and even some of them are into Pacsun.

No, 13 is not too old. In fact I know college students who shop there. Limited Too has nice clothes, so does Justice. Limited Too and Justice actually go up to a 18/20 which is equivalent to a Juniors 6/7!
Wear what you want, be your own person, don’t always go following the crowd, be yourself!

Well, you can find some mature clothing there, but that’s rare. I think it is a little too old for a 13 year old. At middle school name brand clothing becomes very popular.
Answer by Astonishing!!
i think you should buy her a little bit of both but as for too youn. no! there are 54 yer olds wearing 20 year olds outfits. of course not ,just buy a good mix of diffrent brands.

i stopped shopping at limited too when i was around 13.
not because of people saying it’s childish.
but because i can’t fit in anything there!
i think it’s a cute store. they have cute jewelry and room accessories and stuff.
i see no problem in it.
now a&f and hollister annoy me to death.
every girl on the freaking planet wears that crap.
i am cheap and i refuse to pay 34.50 for a shirt that i can get somewhere else for cheaper.
rant over.

Whatever she wants to do. Sometimes my cousin shops there and shes 14 for jeans. Just ask her what she wants to do. I know I stopped around 11 because
1) its way too expensive
2) i thought it was childish
Just ask her what she wants to do. Maybe take her to a few of those stores and have her pick our a few things to see if she likes them and what not.

I would let your child shop at whatever stores she wants but explain to her that money doesnt grow on trees and that she might want to look on the clearence rack and explain she will be like her friends but she shouldnt choose friends because the way they look

Yes… maybe take her to Delia*s. Old Navy, too. make Abercrombie and those types of things special occasions. 70 bucks for a pair of jeans? You HAVE to be kidding me!!! hahah
I really like Forever21.

well, then since im a teen. i think that if everyone else is wearing that ( aeropostale, abercrombie and fitch, hollister) then you cant force them to change what they like to wear..so let your daughter shop there if she wants so she could fit in.
p.s. if you have the money then let your daughter buy something from juicy couture so she could be ahead of the rest of the girls
and not to mention you will be scoring major cool mom points

Hey. I’m 12 years old. I know exactly how she feels. I don’t wear limited too/justice but my mom always wants me to go in gap and its kind of embarrasing wearing a shirt that says “GAP” first off, because people say it means gay and proud and second off, i feel like a 8 year old. My mom thinks abercrombie and hollister are kind of “slutty” and they all have basically the same stuff so everyone at school is matching, so that’s why i go to american eagle because it is different, yet it’s comfortable and i fit in while liking it. Also, i shop at Aeropostale [sometimes] only if there are sales, plus its really cheap without sales anyways, but i just dont like it that much because its too preppy for me.

I’m gonna go ahead and say yes :.
My 8 year old sister wears Justice, I’m in 8th grade and sixth graders don’t even wear it.
I wouldn’t recommend Abercrombie and Hollister because I have some outfits from there and the shirts get holes in them VERY easily. And they’re way to expensive.
You can find cute, yet comfortable and age-appropriate clothes at Wet Seal, American Eagle (my fave), and Aeropostale
_
But, if she likes the clothes @ Justice and can fit them still (haha), then just continue getting them.
If she wants to change, them take her into the stores I listed and browse around.
Just make sure she doesn’t look slutty :

If it fits her, sure
but lots of 13 year olds are developed and like tighter fitting clothes, etc…
limited too has a very boxy fit and high necklines

well personally I stopped shopping there in 5th grade, but that’s because my personal sense of style “matured”
)
if your daughter likes the clothes, BY ALL MEANS take her there and assure her what she likes has nothing to do with her friends. also, tell her that if she chooses clothes without “JUSTICE!” plastered in sequins across the front, it may help her case :]
(p.s., not that that would matter if she liked it
EDIT: idk if it’s just me in Los Angeles, but places like Abercrombie and Hollister aren’t popular at my school at all.

yea thts to old. . .

VERY EWW YOUNG
By angelcat88, March 30, 2011 @ 11:40 am
i think it depends on your child’s syle. if she likes the clothes at justice, tell her it doesnt matter wat kids at school think.but if she doesnt like the clothes there, you should get wat she would perfer but dont go overboard. i personally think justice is a little to young but watever she likes, you should probaly get

Shop wherever you like! I know middle school is totally rough and people judge you on what you wear, but if you wear what you want, they will eventually have more respect for you. It may not make sense now, but trust me, Abercrombie, and Hollister aren’t all that cool in high school. SO wear whatever YOU like and be who you are.

I shop at Wal-mart. I’m 16.
Never shopped at Aero, Aber, Fitch, Holl, Ae….etc.
By Nessa, March 30, 2011 @ 12:56 pm
hey
i actually work at justice and the average age that girls shop there is about 9 or 10…I wouldnt say you need to stop shopping there completly especially if she still likes it but maybe not by her so much of the childish clothing..you know like the ones with monkeys nd stuff…but i dont think it could hurt to start shoppin in other stores especially if the other girls are teasing her about it
By lotsuvquestions, March 30, 2011 @ 1:40 pm
O yeah, no offense, but I stopped shopping there when I was seven. Not that I want to be cool, but their clothes are just ugly, and they all look very young. The colors and the styles looks of that of an eight year old, maybe.

yeah it is.
maybe like a cute bathing suit from there or something; but yeah.
