Is There A Connection Between Religion And Healthy Living?
I have no idea what I believe, but I do believe in living a healthy lifestyle and if religion can help me there i wouldn’t mind going with it
A: Sure..The Apostle Paul wrote…” to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication. If you carefully keep yourselves from these things, you will prosper. Good health to you!” Acts 15:29.
See there is a Connection.
A: Yes. The food laws in Leviticus chapter 11 were written by the God Yahweh for all humans to follow to help live the longest healthiest life while on Earth. The clean creatures we are allowed to eat are to maintain proper health and nutrition in the human body and not eating the unclean creatures listed will help prevent unnecessary diseases from forming in the human body. People who think these laws of the God Yahweh are obsolete and no longer apply in today’s modern world or that Jesus abolished us from following this diet are mistaken.
A: Well, Californians are obsessed with living longer, and they’ve done extensive studies on longevity, and one of the groups of people that was found (world-wide study) to live a long and healthy life was SDAs who live in California. They do not drink alcohol or smoke…since it is forbidden in their religion.
Another area of the world is on some island off Italy. Very long-lived people who do drink wine. I do not know if there is any religion affiliated with them.
In Okinawa, however, a positive happy attitude is the key
A:
For most of the last 1,000 years or so it has been very healthy to be a Christian Everyone else kind of tended to die a lot.
A:
According to a Time magazine survey, it appeared that most people who are religious or subscribe to a religion are much more happier and live a healthier lifestyle.

There is a connection between sanity and healthy living. Mental health is essential to be healthy. So being religious and following a certain religion doesn’t pertain a good mental health but superstition.
