Q&A: If I switch from living destructively to healthy at age 33, can I live a normal lifespan?
OK, I am about to turn 33, but my life has been a mess. I smoked for 15 years, spent 6 as an alcoholic, and have suffered from severe anxiety disorders. I have also abused drugs like Marijuana, LSD, and OTCs for several years. I have also had bulimia for years, and at my worst, used to nearly make myself nearly puke my brains out. I am suprised I made it this far without any major health issues (knock on wood)
I am starting to live healthy, now. I quit everything and am trying to overcome my anxiety. I am losing weight, eating healthy, and exercising, too.
What I am worried about is if my abuse has been so extreme that my body has been ruined beyond hope, or will I be able to live a normal life span if I stay healthy from now on?

No one can say, but at the very least you’ve taken the pressure off your body and, organs that can regenerate will now regenerate. You’ll have more money to spend as well. Things are looking up!
