i think they say 7-8 hours is optimal, but many people only sleep for 4-6 hours! i try to get 9 hours every night–i wake up easily and i don’t crash in the afternoon.

Everybody’s body is different and we all react differently to food, exercise and sleep. You have to tune in to your body’s needs and find out what works best for you. The recommended sleep is 6-8 hours every night.

Experiment with your sleep patterns like eat the same exact meal for three days and sleep 6 hours the first night, 7 hours the second and eight hours the third night and then analyze when you felt most active and energetic.

Listen to your body…it will tell you what to do.

I originally heard it was 8 hours sleep, but other sources say 7. Any more or less isn’t good.

It’s important when you get your sleep too. I can’t remember where I heard this, but someone said going to bed before midnight is much better than going to bed after midnight.

it depends on your age. infants need to sleep most of the time. toddlers need about 10, kids need 8-9, teenagers need 9-10 and adults need 6-8, and seniors need 5-7. but these are the “norms” and people are different. BUT if you are not able to sleep you need to find out why and get some sleep.
