How Does One Determine If Healthy Living Styles Have Gone Too Far?

How much concern is normal in healthy living? Is it possible to be too preoccupied with health, fitness, and nutrition? Is it normal to eat regularly and go through bouts of strict dieting and/or fasting, even if i’ts not that long? Three to five days, one to two weeks, an occasional month or two?

A:   There is nothing wrong with wanting to live healthy, But I feel it goes to far when you shove your views on other people, Tell them what you think about their eating habits when they did not ask. I do not think fasting is good for anyone we all need food and water every day to function.

A:   Well, I can answer this question from experience. I am a Vegan, and about 2 years ago I took it 2 far!!! I ended up not eating anything…actually not realizing how bad off I was. So “YES”… u have 2 be really careful!

A:   you should not be concerned to much, all u have to do is eat breakfast and dinner.u should not stress to much or worry about your body.if u like to be as skinny as a stick, that is very unhealthy and nonattractive.(yoplait holds off your hunger, so you should eat that at lunch time/noon)

A:   It is completely normal to be concerned with maintaining a healthy lifestyle and positive self-image. However, it is very possible to become too obsessed with it, and “strict dieting” and fasting are definitely crossing the line. That sounds like something that could easily turn into an eating disorder, and fasting definitely isn’t good for your body or metabolism.
Be careful and best of luck.
