How Can I Get My Mum To Cook Healthy Food Without Hurting Her Feelings?

I’ve tried to tell my mum to cook healthy food rather then chocolate muffins and chocolate chip cookies, because i have noticed that I’m putting on weight, but every time i try to talk to her about it i end up hurting her feelings.
How can i ask her without hurting her feelings?

A:   tell her that you love her and that you want to be there by her side to take care of her as long as you are alive but you must eat healthy for that..tell her just make a muffin and a cookie once a week…fry veggies with water,not oil…use spices for flavouring but limit salt usage

A:   Why not go with her for shopping . Pick up low cal ingredient. Dine out with her and make her taste low cal food.Do encourage her to pick low fat low sugar food for her and family health.

From the age of 12, I cooked our main meal every Saturday.
That way, I introduced my family to foods and recipes which I had found and wanted to try – like “real” spaghetti, would you believe, rather than the tinned in tomato sauce, variety which was the only thing we knew.. When I found that I needed garlic, I had to get on my bike and cycle to a greengrocer some 3 miles away because he had been recommended as somewhere which sold “exotic” produce.
That was in the early 1950’s in England.
By the time I married, I didn’t need to consult cookery books for any “basic” recipes, like batters, pastries, sauces, sponge mixtures, etc.
If you are old enough, why not give it a go. You will soon be acquire another life-skill which will be important when you have a family of your own to feed and to shop for.

A:   I think it works best by example.
Cook some of the things you want, and let her taste it.
This really is the best way to convince people to put a change to their cooking – because they like the taste.
A:   Find some healthy versions (recipes) of the kind of food your mum likes to cook and then cook them with her. (you can substitute high fat/calorie products with healthier ones and that should help decrease the fat/calorie content). Also find other healthy recipes that you can try. Make sure to tell your mum you love her cooking but want to make some healthy changes and you would love to try her new healthy versions. All the best
A:   Cook some things yourself or cook with her. Show enjoyment for the things you want and she’ll make them to please you.
Complaining rarely works.
A:   tell her u would like to eat healthily and explain some researched benefits – but to be honest if ur gonna complain about ur mum cooking for u try cooking for urself all the time
A:   Volunteer to cook a couple times a week. Your mom will appreciate the help and perhaps will come to understand your interests a little better. Even if you don’t know how to cook already, it will be a good way for you to learn and teach you how hard it is to be a mom — making good food everyone enjoys!
