Answer by Librarian P.Johnson
Go to your local library Web site. (First go to the library if you haven’t already signed up for a library card. You’ll need this to access databases online).

Look for a link that says “Find articles” or “databases” or “electronic resources”. These subscription databases are available to you free when you sign up for a library card (which is also free to anyone).

Example database names: ProQuest, Ebsco, JStor, and many more. They all include newspapers like the New York Times as well as professional/academic/scholarly/peer reviewed journals.

Alternately, you can go directly to the newspaper sites…

http://www.nytimes.com/

You can also locate reviews through Books in Print. this is another database which your local library may subscribe to.
