Cost-efficient healthy living?
Hi,I did the following:
Question: Cost-efficient healthy living?
I’m don’t have much extra money around, and I’m looking to live healthier. I found some wonderful at-home exercises that I routinely use, but I would like to try to find a specific diet that doesn’t involve lots of cooking or expensive (or exotic) ingredients. Have you heard of any?
The following is the answer:

Lots of walking, water and more fibre.
I suggest that you take time to find a good guide on weight loss and dieting. I can recommend one to you and I will post a link to my blog where I talk about issues like these at the bottom.
Think of it like this… if you follow the instructions on the blog weight loss and dieting should only take one attempt. Why go through frustrating struggles and risk injury when you can do it the right way.
Feel free to drop by and leave me a question or comment. I hope you will have the same results that I did!

Pasta rice, veg and salad. Try using wholewheat versions of rice and pasta. You can buy these dried in bulk to keep the cost down. Try making stirfry’s, paella dishes and mixed salads now that summers hear. I always keep some garlic pure, a jar of chillies and some creme fraise in my fridge. These three ingredients form the basis of most of my sauces and adding just a few extra bits – including pepper, vegetables and lemon juice – can make a great sauce to go with almost everything!
What do you think? Answer below!

Unfortunately, to eat healthy sometimes DOES cost more than eating Junk food. I could never figure that one out! But there ARE way’s that you dont have to go broke trying to lose weight. You could try eating more SOUPS, and SALADS also. That isnt alot of cooking and really only involves some minor prep work on your part. Eat foods high in protein if you are working out, You’ll wind up replacing fat with muscle if you eat enough protien and work out. Just remember that it’s ONE GRAM of PROTIEN, for EACH Pound of Body weight. So for example, if you weigh 120 you want to take in 120 grams of protien a day or 125 grams of protien a day to gain muscle. Foods high in protein are Mackrel, Salmon, Sardines, Tuna, White turkey meat, Chicken breast’s, Egg whites, etc. Try and keep away from stuff made with white flour, processed sugars, Fructose, or starchy veggies, like potatoes, rice, etc, Anything WHITE.(And NO this is not a racesist comment!! HA-HA!!) Try drinking atleast 8 16oz bottels of water a day. Make it ICE water because Ice water speeds up your metabolisim and helps burn fat, and so does Hot spicy foods!! So you see? None of this stuff is going to put a dent in your pocket book and it should be easy for you. You could make home made soups of your choice (if you know how) or you can get the low sodium soups from the grocery store in a can. But make sure that they are low sodium, because SALT makes you retain alot of water and makes you feel bloated and fat. And you might want to consider substituting salt on your food with Lemon juice, or maybe vinegar to give it flavor. Dont go crazy with the vinegar, but just a capfull here and there for a littel flavor so stuff wont taste so bland to you ok? But stay on your exercises and keep a positive outlook and you should be fine. If you get tired of doing the in-home exercises, try doing diffrent stuff that you might enjoy. Go Bike riding, Go swimming, Dance alot!! Go hiking. None of this cost a dime to do if you have the stuff around. And you can dance in your house or apartment all day long (Just dont turn the music up to loud, we dont want the downstairs neighbors banging on the ceiling with the dam broom again!! HA-HA!!) But you see what I mean right? Keep it fresh, keep it interesting and you wont get tired of it. If it’s FUN, it’s not WORK, and even if it IS work, it makes it alot more enjoyable! Hope this helps you. Good luck on that ok? One love.
