Eat Healthy Foods

Aha! It’s an Independently-owned business, which I took a photo of before even knowing what the mission 24 assignment for the week was. It really does pay just to take pics all the time. Anyway, I came away from here with a bag of tasty vegan foodie loot, and sat in front of the store with a bunch of flowers and ate a cookie. Happy times.

I am a nerd but I noticed when I was checking out how cool my healthy foods look. Check out the size of those apples?! And for fun, how much do you guys think this cost me? As a little experiment in SF grocery prices. Winner gets title of best pricer guesser … the price is right flickr style!!

CostCo was selling whole ( fresh per Charlotte standards, my friend TBP might be laughing about now), but I think next time I will buy the pre sliced pineapple. I still have all fingers and the pineapple is/was very tastey.

This is a great idea that I hope catches on in other cities — healthy food served from an environmentally sound vehicle. The girl working this morning was from Seattle so we chatted. There are 8 of these around Washington D.C. each serving a different kind of food. I had two soft tacos that reminded me of Taco Gringos on Olive Way. Very good stuff.
eat healthy food|ShopWell gives food buyers new tools for healthy eating
This is a crucial element to ShopWell's approach to helping people eat better. Witlin said that the idea is that people will tend to eat what's in their pantry, and so a major goal of the company's system is to help shoppers get better food into their …

Seen in the group"Mission 24" (?)

Nice representation, but uh oh. You said you took the shot before the mission began. According to M24 rules, the shot must be composed, shot, and posted within our 24-hour time frame. We’ll make an exception this time. Just convince us you’re not a rogue agent from now on.

Yummy — vegan treats sound tasty right now! Love the sunny benches and flowers – -the perfect spot to enjoy a cookie
I love to support independent shops — they are the most fun to go to anyway!

independent shops always have the best stuff. I wish we had some sun here!

My guess is around $50. Newman’s dressing had to be $5. It is $4 here regularly and the salmon I would think around 12$.

By nina_scott_2001, August 26, 2011 @ 7:55 pm
scott and i love to cook with dill weed…we put it on everything..and our rats (R.I.P) used to love eating bok choy
By lois062689, August 26, 2011 @ 7:56 pm
$45 is my guess
Tommy I use bokchoy in stir fry – yumm – I have a good recipe – bokchoy and shitake – oops and meat – ok maybe you wouldn’t like it….
By athenamat, August 26, 2011 @ 8:08 pm
Got two guesses in …. hint. The salmon was only $5 (for some reason the salmon is stupid cheap out here — maybe because we are near the ocean?)
Tommy: I made what I have nicknamed go green bean salad — it’s the two beans I bought, then spinach, bok choy, green beans, green pepper, and the snow peas (with the dressing on top). I love the taste of bok choy. This is a really good bok choy and tofu recipe btw: angrychicken.typepad.com/angry_chicken/2008/06/i-want-my-…
Christinia: And yeah! I haven’t cooked with dill before but I put it in some light mayo and smeared that on poached salmon, so good!
More importantly, where are your guesses you two?!
By athenamat, August 26, 2011 @ 8:47 pm
oh wait. i just double checked my reciept. the dill weed was the most expensive — at $8.39!!!!! waaaaht?
By Quinn, Krisna and Tommy, August 26, 2011 @ 9:34 pm
$43.18
By Brian SwimBikeRun, August 26, 2011 @ 9:39 pm
$48.30. I heart bok choy. Tommy knows nothing!

By Arieseffects, August 26, 2011 @ 11:11 pm
