The ones I know of also include articles and interviews (and a TON of ads), though the blunt of what they include are reviews, i.e. Romantic Times BookReviews Magazine (http://www.romantictimes.com/)

http://www.amazon.com
At this site, once you are sure you’re in the Books category, you can put any title you like into the Search box, and once the books come up, click on a book you like.
It will separate from the others. Click on the book again if it says “Search Inside” and you’d like to do so.

*For reviews, scroll down past all publication information and anything about other books people bought that, and there you are, at reviews.

Often there are many, many reviews. There are usually two or three main ones, but if you look to the right, you’ll see many more to expand and read if you like.

Once you get on the NYTimes front page, look to the left, and in small print you’ll see ‘Books.’ Click on that, and you’re on the book review page.

Explore it thoroughly, every part of it, clicking on various links as you go. To get back to the page, or to your own site, use the back arrow on your computer, as you know.

The most pre-eminent one I can think of is the New York Times Review of Books, which covers a wide variety of genres and subjects, from fiction to theses.

in addition to NY Times there’s like London Times, and possibly Boston…I could not write that ,many words to review a book. The reviews could be a book themselves. But then the reviewers are notable writers.

It would help if I knew exactly why you wanted to know. Do you want to try to publish book reviews? If so, which kinds of books do you like to read? Or are you trying to get some good book information? If so, how in-depth would you like the information to be?

Pretty much every newspaper publishes some book reviews in their Sunday edition. However, everyone here is right: the New York Times Book Review is the most widely read by the lay population in the U.S., while The Times Book Review is the most widely read in the U.K.

On the other hand, the publishing/book store business and library profession have their own magazines of book reviews. The most prominent of these are Publishers Weekly and Library Journal.

But if you really want the cream of the crop, then you should check out The Women’s Review of Books, The London Review of Books, and The New York Review of Books.

Some of these websites won’t give you access to all of their articles unless you subscribe to the paper edition as well.

Enjoy the hunt, and good luck!
