Question: Are Royal Python happy to live together?

I didn’t think they liked it too much but at pet shops they always have Royals in the same tanks and they look happy enough together.
My Dad has a young royal morph and I have a 2 year old Royal. When they are both fully grown do you think they will be happy together or will they attack each other?

They will be fine together. However this is real important,
do not feed them in the same tank. The only snakes that
are in the pet trade you can’t keep together are Kings and
Milk snakes.

No, they are not happy living together. Pet stores do it due to lack of space, but you can’t tell if a snake is happy by looking at him. If they were happy, they would both be hiding as is a Royal’s nature. And most pet stores I have ever walked in don’t even provide the appropriate hides for a Royal.

They may not attack each other, but they will both be under stress constantly. Since they are known for going off their food for any little reason, that might happen to one or both of them. If one were to get sick, they would both be exposed, and you wouldn’t be able to monitor their feces because you wouldn’t know which one “went”.

They will be fine.
Just make sure when you put them in the same tank that they are about the same size.
Check on them to see if they are doing OK and make sure one isn’t sick before you put them together.
Give them enough hides so they don’t always have to share with the other.
I use to have my two corn snakes in the same tank until one escaped during night time and she was black so we never found her and I used to have my two balls in the same tank and then recently found out one was a girl when i saw them locking up.
And like the other person said, don’t feed them in the same tank/container because they might go after each other or fight over the food.

hope this helps(:
